Contingency Recruitment

Contingency recruitment can be a potentially quick and cost effective solution, with no initial financial commitment. Once a detailed job brief has been taken, we will seek to identify candidates that match the brief through a combination of methods:

Candidates who are actively looking for a new position will then be short listed and put forward for interview.

Fees are only charged when you recruit one of our submitted candidates.

Retained Search

We believe that traditional retained search is too heavily weighted towards non-delivery.

Medtech Search Associates’ retained search is structured in reflection of our strength – delivery and successful appointment.

Payment of a percentage of the anticipated fee on instruction allows us to devote our time to working on your recruitment campaign.

We tailor a detailed process to meet your requirements within pre-agreed timescales. The balance is then payable on successful completion of the assignment.

The commitment from the client in this process allows us to offer this service at a lower rate than that of search and selection and contingency search. This service assumes that we are retained exclusively for the assignment. 

Candidate Search and Selection

Once we have taken a detailed job specification we conduct extensive research into the market and identify prospective candidates, proactively approaching them with the details of an opportunity too attractive not to listen to!

The best candidates are usually content in employment with other companies in your market and are not those actively looking for alternative opportunities.

Being pro-active about the situation allows us more control over the candidates and gives us greater chance of success. Candidates identified in this way are less likely to be talking to other companies, reducing competition for their signature.

This approach is especially effective where there is a limited supply of experience within the market, and is particularly suited to more senior level positions.

The fee structure for Search and Selection is the standard model seeing payment spread over 3 stages; one-third on instruction, one-third on shortlist and one-third on placement. Exclusivity is not a prerequisite.
